The Muffin Heads

Who Are They?

The Muffin Heads are a 3 piece punk/grunge/rock sandwich conceived in Essex. Made up of front woman Bex, guitarist Pete and drummer Nick - "If Hades had a houseband, it would be this Essex trio" (The Devil Has The Best Tuna, 2018).

In June 2016 the band released their debut double A side single 'Queen Bitch' which also became their first DIY music video. The Muffin Heads have had a string of radio plays including BBC Radio 6, BBC Introducing Essex, Hoxton Radio, Hard Rock Hell Radio and Radio KC and with the success of their first single landed dates across the UK culminating in a summer performance at Camden Rocks Festival 2017.

The Muffin Heads reinforced their DIY ethos by booking and embarking on their first UK tour in September 2017 where they sofa surfed around the country playing iconic venues in London, Bristol, Hull, Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham, Northampton and Canterbury.

The band have recently released their first four track EP "Don't Give The People What They Want" which has been described by music blog GigSlutz as "frenetic and seething from start to finish". The title track was recently played on BBC Radio 6 by Steve Lamacq who called it "2 minutes of anti-establishment punk".
